Job Responsibilities

Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Conducts initial assessment, re-assessment, and focused assessment based on patient condition.
Identifies problems related to actual or potential health conditions or needs.
Plans and sets measurable and achievable short- and long-range goals in collaboration with the patient and family.
Establishes daily goals with the patient and family and formulates a plan of care.
Implements nursing care according to the care plan to ensure continuity of care.
Documents care in the patient’s record.
Ensures patient safety through medication administration and provision of ordered treatments.
Educates patients and families.
Continuously evaluates the patient’s status and the effectiveness of the nursing care.
Coordinates care from admission to discharge.
Delegates and supervises tasks as appropriate.
Prioritizes patient care needs.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Valid Arizona Nursing License or compact state license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1 year of experience as a Licensed RN in an OR Setting

Preferred Skills

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing

Requirements

Experience: 1 year of experience as a Licensed RN in an OR Setting

Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

License & Certification:

Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Preferred
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Preferred
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Preferred
