Job Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to promote and restore patient’s health status.
Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
Provides physical and psychological support to patients, family members, and significant others.
Supervises assigned team members.
Uses a systematic critical-thinking approach to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgement, intervention, and evaluation of human responses to health problems.
Promotes patient's independence by establishing care goals and providing education.
Serves as patient/family advocate.
Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions and needs.
Identifies, synthesizes, and interprets sources of data using clinical judgement.
Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operations.
Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and making necessary adjustments.
Resolves patient problems and needs using multidisciplinary team strategies.
Participates in process/performance improvement activities.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures.
Documents all patient care activities accurately and timely.
Ensures operation of equipment and maintains equipment inventories.
Demonstrates effective teamwork skills and maintains cooperative relationships among health care teams.
Maintains professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and completing mandatory training.
