Utilizes the nursing process to promote and restore patient’s health status.
Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
Provides physical and psychological support to patients, family members, and significant others.
Supervises assigned team members.
Uses a systematic critical-thinking approach to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgement, intervention, and evaluation of human responses to actual and potential health problems.
Promotes patient's independence by establishing care goals and providing education to patients and families.
Serves as patient/family advocate.
Maintains continuity among nursing teams through documentation and communication.
Identifies, synthesizes, and interprets sources of data using reasonable clinical judgement.
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Uses ethical decision-making processes and advocates for acceptable patient outcomes.
Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes.
Participates in process/performance improvement activities utilizing evidence-based practice.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
Documents all patient care activities accurately and timely.
Ensures operation of equipment and manages nursing supplies effectively.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and completing required trainings.

Experience: None, but newly graduated Nurses must have completed LMC's Nurse Residency Program for consideration.

Education: ADN, Diploma or Bachelors of Science in Nursing
