Job Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care.
- Perform clinical assessments.
- Administer medications.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Use systematic approach to provide nursing care to patients and families/populations.
- Conduct both focused and comprehensive assessments through subjective and evidence-based objective data.
- Prioritize, synthesize, and document assessments and nursing plan of care.
- Implement plan of care through assignment and monitoring of other nurses and delegation of unlicensed staff.
- Initiate standing orders for prescription refills and labs as well as standing delegation orders where appropriate.
- Develop and implement teaching plans for patients concerning maintenance, promotion, and restoration of health.
- Evaluate patients’ response and outcomes to education and therapeutic interventions.
- Communicate effectively with the collaborative team while escalating critical results and issues in a timely manner.
- Exercise judgment while coordinating care and referring patients to agencies or healthcare professionals for services/transitions in care.
- Perform on-site and telephone triage using best practice guidelines.
- May compile daily or monthly reports.
- Act as a patient and healthcare advocate by maintaining a safe environment and promoting quality healthcare and services.
- Respect and maintain privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
- Adhere to standards of practice for professional nursing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: None
Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Associate’s degree in nursing, or diploma from an accredited nursing school.
License & Certification:
- Current Registered Nurse Texas License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
