Job Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures
Employ critical thinking skills to assess patients’ condition
Recognize changes in patients’ conditions and plan and evaluate care
Monitor patients’ progress and record pertinent observations
Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff
Function as a team member to fulfill unit goals

Requirements

Experience: 1+ years of RN experience in an inpatient unit setting

Education: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date if Associate Degree is highest

License & Certification:

Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within one year of start date
Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within one year of start date
