Job Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care for all patients on the In-patient and RTC units.
- Adjust staffing as necessary for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
- Oversee unit activities including admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, restraint and/or seclusion, and Baker Acts.
- Relieve for breaks or meals.
- Manage the Mental Health Techs working on the unit.
- Administer prescribed medications and provide medication for the nursing staff when the Pharmacy is closed.
- Coordinate all medical codes, whether real or mock, ensuring they are carried out appropriately and safely.
- Demonstrate knowledge in completion of pre-admission assessments and response to crisis calls and follow-up.
- Counsel staff at the time that inappropriate job behaviors are noted.
- Perform and direct CPR and Handle With Care; assist with accurate nursing assessments.

Requirements
Experience: Two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse required; two (2) years experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
License & Certification:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida required
