Job Responsibilities
- Determine and flex staffing standards based on patient care needs, patient flow, medical acuity, procedures, staff skills, and other clinical needs.
- Assume accountability for the day-to-day operations of the practice while continuing to function clinically when necessary.
- Serve as the departmental role model in all aspects of patient and community care.
- Incorporate national professional organization as well as business unit and health system's goals to improve patient safety, quality and satisfaction.
- Create a caring and compassionate patient-focused experience by building healing relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate the ability to create a shared vision that applies critical thinking skills and utilizes financial and quality data.
- Orchestrate complex change and acknowledge the psychological transition on self and others.
- Involve stakeholders and experts in planning, designing, and redesigning change.
- Use appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans.
- Support staff during difficult transitions.
- Analyze staff and patient satisfaction outcome data and develop action plans.
- Collaborate with medical staff to monitor patient outcomes and implement safety initiatives.
- Actively oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance, including outside agencies and audits.
- Utilize research and evidence-based practice to support improvement in clinical care.
- Create developmental paths and plans for staff to increase expertise.
- Oversee and manage the interviewing, selection, hiring, training, and evaluating of staff.
- Develop and market programs to provide education and enhance consumer awareness.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5 years of Nursing (RN) experience required; Progressive leadership experience preferred.
Education: BSN or Bachelor's in a related health care field required; MSN or Master's in a health care field preferred.
License & Certification:
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse
- CPR Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 34
