Manage the delivery of nursing care and services within a defined operational nursing unit.
Participate in the financial management of the unit via development of operating and capital budgets.
Manage and monitor staffing/productivity of assigned staff to ensure execution of goals and projects.
Implement quality improvement processes in individual, team and organizational performance.
Apply system thinking skills in decision making and understanding of complex adaptive systems.
Incorporate information technology into practice and apply a strategic management approach.
Apply nursing research to clinical practice and participate in nursing research studies.
Embrace shared governance and develop the performance of team members.
Recruit, train, coach, and assess performance of staff.
Influence others and promote professional development.
Communicate with patients, families, and staff to ensure satisfaction and to prevent and resolve conflict.

Bachelor's degree in nursing
Current Illinois license to practice as a Registered Nurse
Current CPR certification
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Effective communication skills
Possesses specialized knowledge and clinical skills for people with physical disabilities and chronic illness
Financial and business acumen
Ability to interpret growth and development related information

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical nursing.

Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
