Provide technical nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Perform assignments appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.

Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team.
Ability to learn and apply computer technologies and procedures that affect patient care delivery.

Experience: Less than one year training as an LPN.

Education: High School Diploma or GED and Vocational Training; Must have graduated from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.

License & Certification:

Licensed to practice practical nursing in the state of Florida
BLS from the American Heart Association
Successful completion of a 30-hour IV Therapy Course approved by a Florida Board of Nursing provider
Crisis Prevention Institute training within ninety (90) days, and then annually, for Psych Unit
NRP certification within 6 months of hire or transfer for specific units
STABLE certification within 6 months of hire or transfer for specific units
