Job Title: Clinical Appeals RN- Coding - Remote in US
Position: Registered Nurse with experience in clinical appeals and coding
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $28.61 to $56.06 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Responsibilities
- Analyze and review appeals and grievances to determine if appropriate care was given.
- Review coding edits and reimbursement issues.
- Solve moderately complex problems and conduct moderately complex analyses.
- Translate concepts into practice.
- Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements.
- Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
- Work with minimal guidance on complex tasks.
- Coach and provide feedback to others.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Active, unrestricted RN licensure in state of residence
- Outstanding coding skills
- 3+ years of clinical experience in a hospital, acute care, or direct care setting
- Experience in reviewing coding edits and reimbursement issues
- Medical record review / appeal review experience
- Proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Experience working in a managed care environment
- Solid critical thinking, analytical and research skills
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a high volume environment
Preferred Skills
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
- Utilization Review experience
- Post Service Provider Denial experience
- Knowledge of Medicare / Medicaid regulations
- Clinical Chart Reviews
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of clinical experience in a hospital, acute care or direct care setting

License & Certification:
- Active, unrestricted RN licensure in state of residence
