Job Responsibilities
- Supervise patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs.
- Communicate with Physicians/CCO/staff about changes in patients' clinical conditions.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Foster a positive milieu in the hospital.
- Keep CCO and CEO apprised of risk situations.
- Provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing
- Detailed computer knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and human relation skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in acute care, med-surg, critical care, or ICU
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Requirements
Experience: 2 years LTAC or Step-down experience preferred
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
License & Certification:
- Current Louisiana Registered Nurse Licensure
