Provide direct and indirect patient care as part of the healthcare team.
Demonstrate clinical nursing knowledge and skill in the specialization of the unit.
Apply nursing process effectively in the care of culturally diverse patients and families.
Organize and reprioritize patient care activities based on environmental changes.
Assess patients to collect data and identify learning needs according to established standards.
Develop individualized problem lists for assigned patients based on assessment data.
Create and implement a plan of care for each patient according to established standards.
Evaluate effectiveness of care plans and make revisions based on patient responses.
Assess patients/families learning needs and develop teaching plans accordingly.
Provide direct patient care in a culturally, developmentally, and ethically appropriate manner.
Participate in quality improvement, risk management activities, and uphold quality standards.
Support evidence-based guidelines to promote safe patient care.
Participate in unit shared governance and education of new staff.
Delegate patient care activities appropriately and evaluate expected outcomes.
Utilize real-time computer documentation when completing patient records.

Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
