Job Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, patient-centered care
- Coordinate all functions in the unit
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies
- Serve as a resource for staff
- Support an unparalleled patient experience
- Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver care
- Assist with admission and discharge processes
- Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement
- Assist with staff scheduling
Required Skills
Core Skills
- PCU experience in acute care setting
- Coaching and training skills
Preferred Skills
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Requirements
Experience: 4+ years of PCU experience in acute care setting
Education: Associate Degree; BSN required within 24 months of hire
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or compact
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
