Job Responsibilities

Utilize specialized plan-of-care interventions to impact patient wellbeing.
Serve as a patient-care innovator in the Emergency Department.
Establish authentic personalized relationships with patients and their support systems.
Collaborate with physicians and team members to provide optimal patient care.
Utilize evidence-based practices in patient care.
Accept responsibility, accountability, and authority for provision and management of care according to current policies and procedures.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Current VA (or Multi-state) RN license
Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school
American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
Experience in acute care hospital

Preferred Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
American Heart Association ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) certification required or within six months of hire
Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC)

Requirements

Experience: Experience in acute care hospital, preferred

Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's degree preferred)

License & Certification:

VA (or Multi-state) RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ACLS within 6 months of hire
PALS
ENPC or within six months of hire
