Job Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of a professional registered nurse to support unit and patient care needs.
- Assist with management of the electronic health record and paper chart.
- Be cross-trained to perform the RNT job duties.
- Float to the direct care position as needed.
- Participate in unit quality projects which may include data collection and unit equipment inventory and maintenance.
- Precept new RNT employees.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Current Nursing Assistant certification (C.N.A.)
- Current CPR certification
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service orientation
Preferred Skills
- 2-5 years work experience in a rehabilitation hospital, acute care hospital, or skilled nursing facility
- Enrollment in an RN Nursing Program with successful completion of two clinical rotations
Requirements
Experience: 2-5 years preferred
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
License & Certification:
- CNA certification
- CPR certification
