Job Responsibilities
- Create a dynamic, learner-centered environment using various teaching methods.
- Model reflective and critical thinking; coach and mentor students on progress and development of learning plans.
- Maintain and enhance competence in teaching subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure course integrity across programs.
- Prepare and review written examinations, papers, and student projects; supervise independent study projects.
- Evaluate learner performance in classroom and clinical settings.
- Notify Course Manager of at-risk students or unusual occurrences.
- Supervise or teach clinical rotations in various healthcare settings.
- Document student progress on appropriate forms.
- Engage in scholarly activities reflecting dissemination and professional peer review.
- Participate in faculty organization meetings and university committees.
- Provide service to the profession and community.
- Clarify nursing curriculum and programmatic requirements to students.
- Discuss student academic progress and refer them to support services.
- Increase student awareness of educational resources.

Requirements
Experience: Preferred teaching experience of diverse students at the baccalaureate or higher degree level.
Education: Earned master’s in nursing required, doctorate in nursing or related field preferred.
License & Certification:
- Unencumbered California registered nurse license
