Job Responsibilities
- Provide routine care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Be responsible to the Patient Care Director and the RN's on duty
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills

- Ability to read, write, and understand basic patient care instructions
- Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, visitors, and physicians
- Attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- Experience in nursing assistant duties for six months or more
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of two acute care medical-surgical clinical rotations or one medical-surgical rotation and one relevant clinical rotation, or one medical-surgical rotation with pertinent work experience; at least one rotation must include medication administration.
Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing or a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing awaiting NCLEX exam.
License & Certification:
- State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification (preferred)
- American Heart Association BLS (required within 90 days of hire)
