Job Responsibilities

Provide routine care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Be responsible to the Patient Care Director and the RN's on duty
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

Ability to read, write, and understand basic patient care instructions
Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, visitors, and physicians
Attention to detail

Preferred Skills

Experience in nursing assistant duties for six months or more

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of two acute care medical-surgical clinical rotations or one medical-surgical rotation and one relevant clinical rotation, or one medical-surgical rotation with pertinent work experience; at least one rotation must include medication administration.

Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing or a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing awaiting NCLEX exam.

License & Certification:

State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification (preferred)
American Heart Association BLS (required within 90 days of hire)
