Job Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight for health office operations and reporting
- Support Student Health Office personnel and their designees through training, site validation visits, and consultation
- Provide professional expertise in the fields of Nursing and School Health
- Consult with campus leadership to build capacity for supervision of Health Office personnel
- Impart knowledge, skills, and experience through training, site visits, and consultation
- Mentor new hires to orient them to the policies and procedures established by Vertex Education for Student Health Services programming
- Partner with campus leadership to identify qualified candidates for open positions
- Conduct visits to campuses on a rotating basis
- Confer with staff, review health office documentation, observe Health Assistants’ (and designees) interaction with students and skills in student care, provide training and coaching, and provide expertise on all health/medical topics and health policies/procedures
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure (RN) from the Arizona State Board of Nursing
- CPR/AED certification
Preferred Skills
- First Aid Certification
- 3 or more years of School Health experience
