Job Responsibilities

Perform rounds on each nursing unit, continuously observing and assessing the quality of patient care.
Identify nursing educational needs and escalate concerns regarding nursing skills, patient care, and equipment as appropriate.
Provide feedback on nursing assessments, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
Assist with performing or troubleshooting specific nursing skills.
Maintain mobile phone for easy contact by new graduates or nurses within the scope of support.
Track requests to identify commonly requested skills for enhancing orientation and education.
Foster teamwork and contribute to the achievement of team goals.
Attend Rapid Response and codes as needed, providing feedback and debriefing post-event.
Share knowledge and expertise while assisting coworkers.

Requirements

Experience: More than two years as an RN required; more than one year as a Preceptor preferred; more than one year in a leadership role preferred.

Education: Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.

License & Certification:

Florida Registered Nurse license or appropriate compact licensure
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
American Heart Association ACLS certification
American Heart Association PALS and/or ENPC certifications
Current NIHSS certification
