Assess, plan, facilitate, and evaluate the coordination of patient care according to unit/department policies and procedures.
Provide clinical leadership and apply effective problem solving strategies to improve patient care.
Oversee and administer direct care to immune-compromised patients including central line/IV site monitoring, lab draws, and nursing intervention monitoring.
Verify patient Roadmap, protocol and orders for correctness and accuracy upon admission.
Ensure completion of patient admission history and accurately complete the discharge planning process.
Plan, implement, and document the plan of care in collaboration with other disciplines.
Administer chemotherapy and patient medications, ensuring adherence to medication administration policies.
Monitor and provide patient interventions such as electrolyte infusions, sepsis monitoring, and blood transfusions.
Utilize electronic innovations for efficient patient care and ensure patient safety by attending to call lights promptly.
Ensure safe analgesics/narcotics administration, adherence to restraint policies, and proper wound care.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and support workflow enhancement projects.
Coordinate patient care on designated shift, ensuring accountability for patient outcomes.

Registered Nurse Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC)
CPR certification from American Heart Healthcare Provider
PALS certification from American Heart Association
Aphon Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course within 1 year
2-4 years of RN experience
Leadership experience
Proficiency in computers and Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

BSN degree or currently enrolled in a BSN program
National certification as a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPHON/CPON/BMTCN) preferably within 5 years of hire
Pediatric RN experience in Hematology/Oncology acute care setting
Ability to oversee and optimize department flow in a fast-paced environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to positively influence team members and hold self and others accountable

Experience: 2-4 years of RN experience

Education: BSN degree or currently enrolled in a BSN program

License & Certification:

Registered Nurse Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC)
CPR certification
PALS certification
Aphon Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course
