Job Responsibilities
- Provides education and acts as a liaison with the patient, physician, family, and other health care personnel throughout the patient's hospital stay or service.
- Supports and guides patient and family in health care decision-making processes including admissions, diagnostics, surgical/medical interventions, discharge, and support services.
- Serves as the point of contact, clinical leader, and resource to staff and administration.
- Provides patients and families with needed information for the transition from active treatment to managing their condition independently.
- Patient care may involve inpatient and outpatient services, varying depending on the service line area.
- Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Florida
Preferred Skills
- Certification as a Certified Health Coach
Requirements
Experience: Three years of related work experience required.
Education: Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN)
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse License in Florida
Schedule:
- Full-time, scheduled days: Sunday through Saturday
