Job Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care level patients.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
Required Skills

- Registered Nurse license in Florida or compact licensure
- Critical thinking

- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- PC skills
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in an acute care setting
- BSN degree
- Current certifications in ACLS and NIHSS
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
Education: Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
License & Certification:
- Florida Registered Nurse license
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire/transfer)
- NIHSS certification (within 6 months of hire/transfer)
