Job Responsibilities

Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Uses a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze data about a patient.
Performs initial assessments, re-assessments, and focused assessments based on patient condition.
Identifies problems through clinical judgment about the patient’s response to health conditions or needs.
Sets measurable and achievable short- and long-range goals in collaboration with the patient and family.
Establishes daily goals with the patient and family.
Formulates a plan of care.
Implements nursing care according to the care plan.
Ensures patient safety and administers medications.
Provides ordered treatments and patient/family education.
Documents in healthcare record.
Continuously evaluates patient’s status and the effectiveness of nursing care.
Coordinates care management with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Manages delegation, supervision, and prioritization of care.

Core Skills

Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Skills

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
