Provide preventative, supportive, and nursing care to each patient based on the nursing process and hospital policy.
Support the Float Pool to fill in for ill calls and times of high census or to cover for LOAs.
Float to all nursing units where competencies have been completed and function in full capacity on each assigned unit.
Evaluate and document each patient’s response to medication, interventions, and procedures.
Formulate and coordinate individualized patient care plans based on assessment of patient needs.
Keep patient and/or significant others informed of the plan of care.
Maintain patient safety during all aspects of nursing intervention and document safety measures in the patient's medical record.
Provide care in collaboration with the patient/family, considering developmental, cultural, and age-specific differences.

Experience: One to two years acute care nursing experience preferred.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.

License & Certification:

Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Current NRP
Current STABLE
Current NVCI (CPI)
