Job Responsibilities

Provides work direction to clinical and support staff to coordinate resources for procedures and day-to-day operations.
Supports direct patient care by delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans.
Promotes an environment for safe and efficient patient care, including daily patient rounding.
Coordinates patient care team needs by following up on service complaints and promoting communication among patients, families, and hospital staff.
Acts as a resource to employees, providing training, work direction, and performance input.
Assigns, monitors, and reviews work progress, directing efforts on complex issues with unit leadership.
Assists with human resource responsibilities, such as interviewing and resolving employee concerns.
Monitors staffing levels and makes adjustments to maintain productivity.
Monitors quality of care provided and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
Provides input to budget and ensures necessary supplies and equipment are available.
Works with management on developing new and existing programs and services.
Coordinates with vendors for products and in-services for equipment.
Participates in product trials and submits recommendations to management.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care.

Requirements

Experience: Typically requires 3 years of experience in clinical nursing within an acute care setting.
