Demonstrate ability to enter/review orders and sequence of assigned procedures based on the patient's condition.
Use judgment in selecting the most appropriate application of procedures and guidelines.
Accurately report and record significant patient information.
Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex problems per nursing standards.
Check patients into the clinic, interview patients and/or significant others, and document intake data.
Provide high quality nursing care using various modalities including triage and health maintenance visits.
Perform clinical pertinence reviews to ensure compliance with nursing practice standards.
Recognize and effectively intervene in urgent or emergent situations.
Prepare, administer and document medications and immunizations as directed.
Assess, record, and report vital signs and other health parameters.
Triage and prioritize patient needs in the clinic setting.
Serve as a resource for complex/specialized procedures.
Provide education to patients and families about health, self-care, and treatments.
Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
Communicate professionally with patients and personnel while maintaining confidentiality.
Initiate consults per PACT and/or Specialty Expanded scope of practice.
Provide coverage for Women's Health clinical teams in Birmingham and Huntsville.

Experience: Completion of at least one year of qualifying experience at the GS-5 level.

Education: Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency.

License & Certification:

Full, active, current, and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse

Schedule:

COVID-19 Requirements: Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required.
