Job Title: OR RN Cardiovascular FT Day
Position: Registered Nurse with CVOR specialization
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $15,000 sign-on bonus (requires 2 years of RN CVOR experience)
Shift: Day, 3 - 12; 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM with call requirements

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards.
- Identify and prioritize patient and family needs.
- Develop, implement and evaluate the nursing plan of care.
- Modify plan to meet clinical outcomes.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
- Participate in quality/performance improvement initiatives.
- Create an attentive, helpful, safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families and staff.
- Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Manage both fervid and physical pain to promote relief and healing.
- Recognize, appreciate and incorporate a patient's and family's unique differences into an individualized plan of care.
- Preserve and protect the confidentiality, autonomy, dignity and rights of patients and families.
- Create individualized plans that reflect patient and family values and goals.
- Facilitate learning for patients, families, and nursing staff about health care and treatments.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement an integrated plan of care.
- Use problem-solving strategies for patients, families, and staff.
- Participate in mutual governance and improvement of the nursing practice and environment.
- Identify and achieve personal professional growth.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and hospital protocols
- Knowledge of medical terminology and practices for health promotion
- Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide age-specific, quality, patient-centered care
- General computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation
Preferred Skills
- Experience in CVOR nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Requirements
Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the US, 1+ years of OR experience, and CVOR experience is required
Education: BSN
License & Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or BLS within 30 days of hire
