Job Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and management of specific unit(s) or service.
- Promotes creation of a center of excellence for staff recruitment and retention.
- Ensures safety and quality standards are upheld.
- Communicates effectively and manages interventions/practices and their outcomes.
- Engages staff in decision making via shared governance processes.
- Partners with others to promote relationship-based care delivery systems.
- Manages financial resources and utilizes quality skills to improve operations.
- Establishes partnerships with staff, departments, and medical staff.
- Promotes staff competency in clinical care delivery.
- Holds self and staff to high professional standards and ethics.
- Promotes evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
