Job Responsibilities
- Provide and lead the provision of competent, evidence-based care.
- Offer patient-centered and recovery-oriented care.
- Manage the milieu effectively while maintaining self-awareness.
- Facilitate shift reports and warm hand-offs.
- Conduct nurse-led psychoeducational groups.
- Utilize therapeutic communication techniques and practice de-escalation techniques.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams.
- Conduct safety observations and document nursing assessments.
- Assume team lead during psychiatric emergencies.
- Report and assist in resolving safety concerns.
- Maintain professional boundaries to protect patient vulnerabilities.
- Oversee licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants.
- Direct nursing education, orientation, and competencies.
- Provide informal constructive feedback to peers.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for healthcare professionals.
- Share knowledge and experiences with the mental health team.
- Question clinical practices to enhance evidence-based care.
- Participate in activities to sustain evidence-based mental health practice.

Requirements
Experience: 1 year of specialized nursing experience
Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing
License & Certification:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a registered nurse in a state or territory of the United States.
Schedule:
- Work schedule includes weekends and holidays.
COVID-19 Requirements: Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement.
