Job Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Assist in rectifying deficiencies as requested and report deficiencies to supervisor immediately.
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients and their needs utilizing the nursing process.
Seek solutions and offer opinions to physicians and other health care providers based on findings.
Document all nursing assessments in the patient’s medical record ensuring clarity and completeness.
Perform routine nursing duties such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and measurement of vital signs.
Demonstrate clinical competency in complex procedures like conscious sedation and chemotherapy administration.
Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills.
Manage urgent/emergent medical situations according to organizational protocols.
Serve as a resource for staff and physicians for daily problem-solving and decision-making.
Initiate and coordinate patient education ensuring understanding and proper return demonstration.
