Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Assist in rectifying deficiencies when requested.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' chief complaints and needs.
  • Document all nursing assessments in the patient’s medical record ensuring clarity and completeness.
  • Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, measurement of vital signs, and preparation of lab specimens.
  • Demonstrate clinical competency in performing complex specialty-related procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other clinical and administrative departments to coordinate patient care.
  • Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills.
  • Manage urgent/emergent medical situations according to protocols.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and physicians for daily problem solving.
  • Make recommendations regarding new policies and procedures to improve patient experience.
  • Initiate and coordinate patient education, ensuring understanding and return demonstration.

Requirements

Experience: 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment
