Job Responsibilities

Provides leadership and management of a specific service line in the hospital.
Acts as a member of the chief nursing officer's administrative team.
Reports to the nursing operations leader and partners with nursing leadership and hospital vice presidents.
Administers to two or more cost centers with a range of 50 to 200 FTEs.
Handles a budget less than 80 million dollars.
Provides direct leadership for a group of nurse managers and staff.
Ensures delivery of safe, quality care through effective communication.
Instills an accountability-based practice setting.
Serves as a sponsor for performance improvement in the nursing service line.
Employs safety first interventions and creates a culture of safety.
Uses data and technology to make decisions and mitigate risks.
Ensures compliance with licensure, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Registered Nurse, including three years of progressive operational leadership.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Master's Degree in Nursing or related field. Must be enrolled in a graduate program with completion expected within 12 months of hire date.
