Job Responsibilities
- Accountable for direct and indirect quality care for patients and families of all ages.
- Manage a caseload of patients living within the service area of hospice.
- Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the health care team.
- Promote patient comfort and assist in the achievement of a comfortable and peaceful death.
- Follow the nursing process and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act.
- Accept professional development as an integral part of nursing practice.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Experience in end-of-life care
- Ability to coordinate care with health care teams
Preferred Skills
- Recent oncology experience
- Experience in home hospice or home health care
Requirements
Experience: 1 year medical/surgical experience; recent acute care or long-term care experience.
Education: Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
License & Certification:
- Oregon Registered Nurse License
