Job Responsibilities
- Independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process.
- Accepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients.
- Facilitates the coordination of care across the continuum with an interprofessional health care team.
- Expands knowledge and skills to provide individualized care based on patient considerations.
- Seeks feedback in assuming leadership roles and provides feedback for improved clinical practice.
- Complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Basic computer skills including keyboard and mouse use
- Ability to complete data entry on clinical documentation screens
- Ability to use email and internet
- Critical thinking and organizational skills
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding)
Preferred Skills
- Certification in clinical specialty
- ACLS certification (must be completed within 12 months of hire)
Requirements
Experience: Preferred experience, but training and specialty-specific education programs are provided during orientation.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
License & Certification:
- Current Pennsylvania RN License
- CPR certification required
