Job Responsibilities

Assist the departmental leader in managing and directing activities for the provision of care.
Provide direct professional care to patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
Follow established standards and practices in the provision of care.
Support the mission statement, policies, and procedures of the Baptist Health System.
Work collaboratively with patients’ families, visitors, nursing personnel, physicians, staff of other departments, and volunteer services.
Serve as the departmental on-site manager for daily operations.
Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience: Three years in acute care.

Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

License & Certification:

Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire)
ACLS/TNCC, PALS/ENPC, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (required within designated timeframe)
