Job Responsibilities

  • Provides high quality patient care including collecting medical history, performing physical examinations, and developing treatment plans.
  • Performs medical and/or surgical procedures as qualified and approved by the AHN Medical Staff Office.
  • Orders and interprets laboratory and radiographic tests.
  • Writes prescriptions and administers medications.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles appropriate to the patient population.
  • Completes medical record documentation in a timely and complete manner.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in documentation and billing processes following federal and state coding policies.
  • Ensures patient safety and acts as a patient advocate while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Participates in AHNMG/Service Line/Department activities and meetings.
  • Meets AHNMG and division-specific Minimum Work Standards.
  • Engages in performance improvement processes and aims to meet operational and quality metrics.
  • Participates in marketing and business development for AHNMG.
  • Pursues personal and professional development and is a life-long learner.
  • Takes initiative, is flexible to change, and follows through on commitments.

Requirements

Experience:

Education: Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice

License & Certification:

  • Georgia license to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Registered Nurse license through the Georgia Board of Nursing
  • Eligible for prescriptive authority through the Georgia Board of Nursing
