Job Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document a health history.
  • Perform and document complete, system-focused, or symptom-specific physical examinations, assessments, and plans of care.
  • Collaborate to provide healthcare services for primary, acute, and complex care of patients.
  • Manage the patient's overall care, identifying expected outcomes for diagnoses.
  • Order, perform, interpret, and collect data using appropriate assessment techniques.
  • Form differential diagnoses and treat acute and chronic conditions.
  • Prescribe therapeutic interventions, both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic.
  • Utilize evidence-based, approved practice protocols in planning and implementing care.
  • Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations.
  • Facilitate patient transitions within healthcare settings, such as admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
