Job Responsibilities

Assess patient needs within an urgent care and primary care setting.
Triage patients to differentiate their needs appropriately.
Evaluate patients in a timely manner, prioritizing patient care over clerical duties.
Perform a thorough history and physical exam on each patient.
Create individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
Consult with supervising or back-up physician when necessary.
Manage private, occupational medicine, and workers’ compensation patients effectively.
Follow evidence-based standards for ordering laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies.
Utilize evidence-based resources for treatment options.
Order and prescribe medications based on best practice standards.
Consult and refer to specialists as needed.
Perform procedures including local anesthesia, digital blocks, wound management and closure, foreign body removal, incision and drainage, manage orthopedic appliances, and initial fracture management.
Comply with current rules and regulations set by governing bodies.
Educate patients regarding their disease process and discharge plan.
Approach the vocation of healthcare as an opportunity for lifelong learning.
Complete training requirements, including CME for specialty.
Serve as a resource in educating other staff members.
Treat every patient professionally and compassionately.
Communicate with clinical staff regarding patient conditions and plans of care.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Arrive to work on time and adhere to the dress code.
Efficiently evaluate and treat patients while maintaining quality and safety.

Required Skills
