Job Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs within an urgent care and primary care setting.
- Triage patients to differentiate their needs appropriately.
- Evaluate patients in a timely manner, prioritizing patient care over clerical duties.
- Perform a thorough history and physical exam on each patient.
- Create individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
- Consult with supervising or back-up physician when necessary.
- Manage private, occupational medicine, and workers’ compensation patients effectively.
- Follow evidence-based standards for ordering laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies.
- Utilize evidence-based resources for treatment options.
- Order and prescribe medications based on best practice standards.
- Consult and refer to specialists as needed.
- Perform procedures including local anesthesia, digital blocks, wound management and closure, foreign body removal, incision and drainage, manage orthopedic appliances, and initial fracture management.
- Comply with current rules and regulations set by governing bodies.
- Educate patients regarding their disease process and discharge plan.
- Approach the vocation of healthcare as an opportunity for lifelong learning.
- Complete training requirements, including CME for specialty.
- Serve as a resource in educating other staff members.
- Treat every patient professionally and compassionately.
- Communicate with clinical staff regarding patient conditions and plans of care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Arrive to work on time and adhere to the dress code.
- Efficiently evaluate and treat patients while maintaining quality and safety.
Required Skills

- Active medical board certification.

- DOT certification or ability to be certified within 90 days of employment.
