Job Responsibilities

Provide a wide variety of professional nursing services focused on quality patient care consistent with Franciscan Health System standards and values.
Develop, implement, and assess the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and the patient/family.
Engage in direct patient care, including assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating work to members of the patient care team.
Provide education and consultation with patients, families, physicians, and other staff members in implementing appropriate nursing interventions for optimal patient care.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Registered Nurse licensure in Washington State
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Oncology nursing experience or willingness to learn

Preferred Skills

BSN degree
6 months acute care RN experience
2 years in oncology acute care setting or related experience
Specialty certification related to the assigned work unit

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 6 months previous RN experience; 2 years in oncology acute care setting preferred.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN degree preferred.

License & Certification:

Registered Nurse licensure by the Washington State Board of Nursing
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
Quarterly AHA Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification required post-hire
