Job Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within the assigned shift.
Support the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit.
Provide managerial presence for all shifts.
Manage clinical and non-clinical caregivers.
Provide input to the director/manager for evaluation purposes related to performance.
Ensure compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement and monitor compliance with policies, processes, and clinical priorities.
Coach, mentor, and collaborate to deliver quality health care to patients.
Manage and coordinate the unit activities, directing and supervising functions.
Interpret policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate.
Maintain clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.
Participate in self-development and planned mentoring in collaboration with the director/manager.

Education: Bachelor's Degree: Graduate from School of Nursing (BS, or BSN)

License & Certification:

Alaska Registered Nurse License
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
