Job Responsibilities
- Support the nurse manager’s implementation of the strategic plan through effective communication with team members.
- Actively involved in the interviewing, hiring, coaching, and counseling of staff.
- Develop and sustain relationships with team members, patients, and families centered on trust, respect, and inclusion.
- Uphold Culture of C.A.R.E., creating a culture of connectedness, awareness, respect, and empathy.
- Inspire and motivate team members by modeling leadership and professional behaviors embodying the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
- Ensure that team members utilize best practices that are patient-centered.
- Champion a just culture where staff feel safe to utilize the tools in TeamSTEPPS.
- Support employee engagement for the unit as a priority and execute and monitor goals and action plans.
- Demonstrate the core clinical competencies for the patient population under oversight.
- Act as a professional role model and clinical expert, promoting standards of professional practice and inspiring continuing education.
- Remain current on knowledge of population health, scope and standards of practice, professionalism, and healthcare legislation.
- Support frontline staff inclusion in change forums and projects impacting their practice.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and competencies of the business needs for day-to-day operations.
- Assure day-to-day staffing and resources are planned and reconciled for the shift of oversight.

Requirements
