Job Responsibilities
- Manage the successful operation of the Resident Care Department under the leadership of the Resident Care Director.
- Provide direct oversight, coaching, and supervision of all resident care service providers in the community.
- Provide on-floor nursing support to residents.
- Communicate with families and friends of residents.
- Ensure compliance with all resident care related regulations (e.g., medication management).
- Document and provide accurate record-keeping as appropriate.
- Demonstrate personal/resident safety methods and procedures.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Being a Registered Nurse as per state regulations.
- Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice experience as an RN.
- Knowledge of Dementia care.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to be on call as identified by the community.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Certified in Gerontology through the American Nurses Credentialing Association.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 1 year Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice experience as a RN and 2 years' experience in a care setting as a RN.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is a plus.
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse license per state regulations.
- Certification in Gerontology is a plus.
Schedule:
- On-call as needed.
