Job Responsibilities
- Utilizes unique knowledge, skills, and competencies in ambulatory care nursing practice.
- Promotes wellness, restores health, and supports end-of-life care.
- Assesses patients’ needs and develops individualized plan of care based on evidence-based nursing practice.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific needs of patients served.
- Prescribes, delegates, coordinates, and documents patient care consistently.
- Performs patient assessment, education, medication administration, and ensures patient safety.
- Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment.
- Prioritizes patient care according to Evidence-Based Practice Standards.
- Identifies and resolves problems effectively.
- Delegates tasks to team members based on patient needs and team member qualifications.
- Communicates patient condition and unit concerns to healthcare team members.
- Maintains a safe and caring environment for patients and families.
- Integrates patient and family education throughout care delivery.
- Participates in Process Improvement activities.
- Awareness of legal issues and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintains regular, punctual attendance.
