Job Responsibilities
- Monitor, examine, and evaluate patients' conditions.
- Assist with care plans and take appropriate actions to promote patients' short/long-term outcomes and well-being.
- Deliver care plans as outlined, applying independent judgment where appropriate.
- Collaborate with and communicate patient care plans with other staff as appropriate.
- Prioritize and coordinate optimum daily patient flow and experience.
- Deliver safe and effective care according to policies and procedures.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of patient assessment, changes in condition, care delivered, education provided, and any incidents or exceptions related to standards of care.
- Listen to patient concerns, probe in-depth to understand their needs, and respond appropriately.
- Serve as an educational resource for patients and families on health-related issues.
- Communicate necessary patient information to family and licensed care providers.
- Embrace patient- and family-centered care to maintain satisfaction.
- Prioritize actions according to patient needs and report pertinent information regarding patient and family confidentiality.
- Seek opportunities to improve work environment and processes.
- Contribute ideas to identify solutions and support change implementation.
- Support improvement initiatives aligned with better patient quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and organizational financial performance.
- Maintain professional licenses and certifications.
- Complete all required training and self-manage professional development opportunities.
- Foster growth of other nurses through mentorship and preceptorship.
