Provide nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse.
Perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned.
Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, delegating tasks as appropriate.
Work in various areas of the unit as required, including MB, NBN, and attending deliveries for 3N RNs.
Work in LD, WAC, LD PACU, and the LD OR for LD RNs.
Work in both NICU areas as required for NICU/NICU SD RNs.
Float between units as needed to work within scope of practice.

Strong teamwork and communication skills with healthcare team members.
Ability to learn and apply computer technologies and procedures affecting patient care.

Experience: Less than one year for New Nurse Fellowship Program, 1-2 years of med/surg or related experience preferred.

Education: Associate's Degree required; BSN preferred.

License & Certification:

Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
BLS from the American Heart Association
ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer
NRP required within 6 months of hire or transfer
AWHONN FHM Intermediate or Advanced by 07/01/2019
STABLE certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
Crisis Prevention Institute training within 90 days, then annually for Psych Unit
