Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Uses a systematic approach to collect and analyze data about a patient to deliver nursing care.
Conducts initial assessment, re-assessment, and focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population.
Identifies problems related to patient’s response to actual or potential health conditions.
Plans and sets measurable and achievable goals with the patient and family.
Documents assessment data, problem identification, and goals in the patient’s care plan.
Establishes daily goals with the patient and family and formulates a plan of care.
Implements nursing care according to the care plan ensuring continuity of care.
Ensures patient safety and medication administration.
Provides ordered treatments and patient/family education.
Continuously evaluates patient status and effectiveness of nursing care, modifying care plan as needed.
Coordinates actions with patients, families, and healthcare team members to manage patient care.
Delegates and supervises nursing tasks.
Prioritizes patient care.

Experience:

Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

License & Certification:

Valid Arizona Nursing License or compact state license
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
