Job Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care as assigned and supervise other qualified staff.
- Address physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs of patients.
- Coordinate the plan of care with healthcare professionals.
- Participate in and complete all patient safety initiatives.
- Utilize hand-off communication and bedside shift report.
- Maintain a safe therapeutic environment by understanding hospital policies.
- Perform and document comprehensive and holistic assessments.
- Anticipate potential emergency situations and intervene safely.
- Develop relationships with patients and families for care planning.
- Demonstrate basic critical thinking skills.
- Document accurately and completely reflecting legal requirements.
- Complete population-specific mandatory education competencies.
- Provide culturally competent care to patients and families.
- Demonstrate awareness of evidence-based practice.
- Utilize appropriate time management and meet attendance expectations.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to support patient care needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary team members.
- Implement the plan of care and identify resources for patient needs.
- Identify and communicate changes in patient conditions.
- Contribute to a healthy work environment and seek assistance for conflicts.
- Take responsibility for meeting educational and mandatory program requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of unit-based performance improvement outcomes.

Requirements
Experience: None preferred experience in patient care in a similar setting.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, preferred BSN.

- Current nursing license for the state of employment
