Job Responsibilities
- Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating patients' conditions.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
- Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks and conscious sedation while utilizing sterile techniques.
- Provide comprehensive patient care for patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
- Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients and families in preparation for discharge.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
Preferred Skills
- 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
- PALS certification if required by the center.
Requirements
Experience: 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
Education: Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
License & Certification:
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification if required.
