Job Responsibilities

Patient preparation for procedures
Patient transport
Patient positioning
Extremity holds during prep
Room turnover/cleaning
Establishing and maintaining a sterile field
Scrubbing into case for retractor holding and/or camera holding
Restocking supplies
Inventory management

BLS certification
CNA certification

Requirements

Experience: Hospital experience preferred

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; nursing student having completed Fundamentals of Nursing, Pre-Med student, or Surgical Technician preferred

License & Certification:

BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward
CNA certification preferred
EMT licensure preferred
First Responder preferred
MA certification preferred
