Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Set up and operate hemodialysis machines.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Assist healthcare staff in providing patient education on adequacy measures.
Welcome assigned patients and inquire about their well-being.
Evaluate vascular access, perform cannulation, and administer heparin as allowed.
Obtain pre and post-treatment vital signs and weight.
Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders.
Monitor patients’ response to dialysis therapy during treatment.
Discontinue dialysis treatment following established procedures.
Monitor and document all relevant information during treatment.
Prepare and organize supplies and equipment efficiently.
Assist in training direct patient care staff under supervision.
Conduct infection control practices and assist with audits.
Follow newly admitted patients through their first four weeks of dialysis.
Coordinate educational matters related to patient treatment options.

Experience: Previous patient care experience preferred.

Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
